    At Earnest, we believe in helping people realize their hopes and dreams through further education. To give back to the community, Earnest launched a scholarship fund that will help 50 students take on less debt. For every student loan we refinance, we put a percentage of our profits towards the scholarship fund. The Earnest Scholarship Fund awards $5,000 to 50 deserving students. There are no essays to write and no fees, to ensure every student has the opportunity to enter the scholarship. Who can enter: Applicants must be enrolled, or soon be enrolled, as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university in Fall 2021.     Award Amount: $500 - $100,000 The Paradigm Challenge is open to students up to the age of 18. You may work in a team or alone in creating an original and creative way to help solve real-life problems in homes, schools, communities, and/or around the world. Entries may come in the form of posters, videos, inventions, messages, community events, websites, mobile apps, or anything else that will help save lives. Additionally, you must submit a brief statement of your idea (140 characters or less) in order to qualify for this award.

  23. Future Educator Scholarship
  24. Deadline: 8/19/21
    Available to: High School Seniors through College Graduate Students, Year 5
    Award Amount: $1,000 The Future Educator Scholarship is available to incoming and current undergraduate and graduate students. You must be pursuing a degree in education to be eligible for this award.

  25. Thiel Fellowship
  26. Deadline: Varies
    Available to: Maximum Age 22 Award Amount: $100,000
    The Thiel Fellowship is open to those who are aged 22 or younger. This is a two-year program that allows students who are no longer enrolled or who are looking to take a break from their studies the opportunity to work on and/or build their own projects or companies. You must be interested in pursuing an innovative and entrepreneurial idea with a clear plan to change to the world in order to be considered for this award. This fellowship requires that students take two years away from college so they can fully focus on their projects.

  27. American Legion National High School Oratorical Contest
Deadline: Varies
Available to: High School Freshmen through High School Seniors
Award Amount: Awards from $14,000 - $18,000
The National High School Oratorical Contest is open to junior high and high school students who are under the age of 20 and citizens or lawful permanent residents of the United States. You must prepare an oration on some aspect of the U.S. Constitution, with some emphasis on the duties and obligations of citizens to our government. A complete list of topics are available on the Legion's Web site. Each individual state winner certified into and participating in the first round of the national contest receives an additional $1,500 scholarship.
