3 Easy, Efficient & Effective Study Tips
Discover three tricks and tips that can help you study more efficiently.
The end of another semester means the beginning of something very stressful: midterms and finals week. Studying is a necessity for success, but it is not always easy to do. There are some tricks and tips that can help you study more efficiently.

1. Shout It Out

No, I don't mean in frustration, though you could do that too. According to Greatist, saying information out loud helps you remember it better. You are both thinking and hearing what you need to know.

2. It’s Scientifically Proven

Greatist also suggests studying for a couple minutes before bed. Studies have shown that the brain retains new information while you sleep. Sleeping is like a way to cement some of what you just learned into your memory.
Just be sure to be careful. Doing this for too long can be counterproductive, as you'll just be tired, and unable to truly process information. Also, don't do this in or near your bed. That will make it harder to fall asleep.

3. Simon Says...

Mnemonic devices are a great way to increase the effectiveness of your study time. According to PsychCentral, many people learn better by associating common words or phrases with the material they want to remember. Be creative with it!
In the end, different people study different ways. You should take what works for you and run with it. Tests are stressful, that we all know, but a good study routine can make everything just a little easier.
