Scholarships We Love:

One Young Earth Filmmakers Contest

Deadline: 1/05/20
Available to: Ages 25 & Under
Award Amount: $1,000 The One Earth Young Filmmakers Contest is open to both college and high school students who are no more than 25 years of age. You must submit a video between three and eight minutes that shares and highlights solutions to the issues discussed in the chosen sustainability topic(s) chosen from the list on the sponsor's website. The film entry’s theme must be solution - based. The film should talk about an environmental / sustainability problem and then discuss what could be a potential solution to this problem. Videos may be submitted by either an individual or a group and animated videos of no more than 45 seconds will also be considered. Learn more about the One Young Earth Filmmakers Contest.

Express Medical Supply Scholarship

Deadline: 1/06/20
Available to: College Freshmen through Graduate Students, Year 5
Award Amount: $500 The Express Medical Supply Scholarship is available to students enrolled at an accredited university or college. You must make and submit an original meme that sums up a day in the life of a college student in order to be considered for this award. Learn more about the Express Medical Supply Scholarship.

Mensa Foundation U.S. Scholarship

Deadline: 1/15/20
Available to: College Freshmen through Graduate Students, Year 5
Award Amount: Varies The Mensa Foundation U.S. Scholarship is available to students currently enrolled in a degree program at an accredited U.S. institution. To be considered, you must submit an essay of up to 550 words explaining your career, academic, and / or vocational goals and how you plan to achieve those goals. Providian Medical Scholarship

Deadline: 1/15/20
Available to: High School Seniors through College Seniors
Award Amount: $500 The Providian Medical Scholarship is available to students enrolled in an accredited high school or college in the United States. You must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA, be either in your final year of high school or enrolled at the undergraduate level in good academic standing to qualify for this award. An essay of up to 1,500 words that describes how medical equipment technology has changed the face of a college course and curriculum is required. Learn more about the Providian Medical Scholarship.

Girls Impact the World Film Festival Scholarship

Deadline: 1/20/20
Available to: High School Freshmen through College Seniors
Award Amount: $1,000 - $5,000 The Girls Impact the World Film Festival Scholarship is available to full - time high school and undergraduate students who are ages 25 and under. To be considered, you must submit an original, three - to six - minute short film that addresses global women's issues such as: education for girls, maternal health, violence against women and girls, or a variety of other issues. Technology Addiction Awareness Scholarship

Deadline: 1/30/20
Available to: High School Freshmen through Graduate Students, Year 5
Award Amount: $1,000 The Technology Addiction Awareness Scholarship is available to high school, undergraduate or graduate students. You must be U.S. citizen or legal resident and submit a 140-character message that relates to technology addiction to qualify for this award. Travel Is Education Scholarship

Deadline: 1/31/20
Available to: 18 & Under
Award Amount: 4 awards from $500-$1,000 The Travel Is Education Scholarship is open to U.S. students in grades 6 through 12. You must submit two-dimensional artwork, photos or a writing (maximum one page) on the theme of "Becoming a Global Citizen". Sample topics are available on the Web site provided. You must be traveling on an ACIS tour between October 15, 2019 through October 14, 2020, in order to qualify for this award. Learn more about the Travel Is Education Scholarship.

Association for Women in Mathematics Essay Contest

Deadline: 1/31/20
Available to: High School Freshmen through College Seniors
Award Amount: Varies The Association for Women in Mathematics (AWM) Essay Contest on Biographies of Contemporary Women in Mathematics is open to all students in three categories: grades 6 - 8, grades 9 - 12, and college undergraduates. Your essay must be primarily based on an interview with a woman currently working in a mathematical career and be approximately 500 to 1000 words in length. The winning essays will be posted on the AWM web page and the grand prize winner will have his or her essay published in the AWM Newsletter. $5,000 Discover Student Loans Scholarship Award

Deadline: 1/31/20
Available to: High School Seniors through College Seniors
Award Amount: $5,000 Students and parents can enter to win a $5,000 scholarship from Discover Student Loans to help pay for college. No essay or lengthy application required. $1,500 The College Monk Short Essay Scholarship

Deadline: 1/31/20
Available to: High School Seniors through Graduate Students, Year 5
Award Amount: $1,500 The College Monk $1500 short essay scholarship is an essay-required scholarship with no GPA requirements. The purpose of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to high school graduating students or college students who are going to attend an accredited institution in the US. The scholarship is awarded once each year and is available to all eligible students regardless of ethnicity, national origin, or immigration status. American Legion National High School Oratorical Contest

Deadline: Varies
Available to: High School Freshmen through High School Seniors
Award Amount: Awards from $14,000 - $18,000
The National High School Oratorical Contest is open to junior high and high school students who are under the age of 20 and citizens or lawful permanent residents of the United States. You must prepare an oration on some aspect of the U.S. Constitution, with some emphasis on the duties and obligations of citizens to our government. Each individual state winner certified into and participating in the first round of the national contest receives an additional $1,500 scholarship. Optimist International Oratorical Contest

Deadline: Varies
Available To: Maximum Age 18 Years
Award Amount: $2,500
The Optimist International Oratorical Contest is open to students under the age of 19. To be considered for this award, you must prepare a 4 to 5 minute speech on the topic, "How My Passions Impact the World" to be presented at your local Optimist Club's contest. Gold Medal Portfolio Award

Deadline: Varies
Available to: High School Seniors through College Freshmen
Award Amount: 16 Awards of $10,000 The Gold Medal Portfolio Award is open to graduating high school seniors. You must submit a portfolio of eight distinct art or written works that exemplify originality, technical skill and personal voice in order to be considered for this award. Art portfolios must communicate a single cohesive idea or visual investigation and written portfolios must demonstrate versatility and diversity in writing technique and style.
