Hormel Foods Corporation Engineering Internship

Description

The Hormel Foods Corporation Engineering Internship is open to students with at least junior status who are majoring in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or environmental engineering. You must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and be available for a six month internship located in Austin, Minnesota. Additionally, you must demonstrate leadership, persuasive skills, strong work ethic and entreprenuerial spirit. You must also be a U.S. citizen or national, or a lawful, permanent resident or have a valid work visa to be eligible for this award. Interns will be involved involved in one or more of the following assignments: plant water systems and heat recovery, industrial sewer systems, plant compressed air distribution systems, industrial steam and ammonia refrigeration systems, plant air handling equipment and plant door abatement improvement projects. Internship duties also include updating engineering information, conducting system testing, evaluating results and making improvement recommendations.
