The actions of extraordinary ladies has inspired the creation of many scholarship opportunities!
March is Women's History Month and we're celebrating by highlighting unique scholarships for amazing women. Once of the best ways to honor such extraordinary past achievements of women is to take advantage of the opportunities awarded for your future - possibilities that, without their hard work, determination and efforts, would not be available to you today. Women's History Month is a relatively new month-long observance in the United States. In fact, it's only about 40-years old as a nationally recognized month. According to a National Women's History Alliance article, National Women's History Month begin in 1980 with a proclamation from then president, Jimmy Carter. Many celebrate fierce females by awarding and empowering remarkable women with college scholarships.

FWSF Scholarship Fund

Deadline: 3/22/24
Available to: Undergraduate & Graduate Students
Award Amount: $10,000 - $15,000 The FWSF Scholarship Fund is available to female students who are majoring in accounting, finance, or a financial services field. You must be enrolled at a Bay Area college / university and have a minimum 3.0 GPA to be eligible for this award.

IMSA Diverse Driver Development Scholarship

Deadline: 3/22/24
Available to: Undergraduate & Graduate Students
Award Amount: Varies The IMSA Diverse Driver Development Scholarship is available to female, American Indian, Alaskan Native, Asian/Pacific Islander, Black /African American, and Latino/Hispanic applicants. You must have some formal automotive racing experience, be at least 17 years of age, and have a commitment from a team competing in an applicable series in the upcoming season to be eligible for this scholarship. The IMSA Diverse Driver Development Scholarship Program promotes and empowers drivers from a variety of backgrounds to participate in an IMSA-sanctioned series. The award recipient will receive financial and other assistance in improving their interview, social media, and overall professional skills for holistic success both on and off the track.

Palantir Women in Technology Scholarship

Deadline: 3/22/24
Available to: High School Seniors
Award Amount: $7,000 The Palantir Women in Technology Scholarship is available to female freshman, sophomore, and junior students. You must be majoring in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related technical field to be eligible for this award.

ITWomen Scholarship Program

Deadline: 3/28/24
Available to: High School Seniors
Award Amount: $2,000 The ITWomen Scholarship Program is open to female graduating high school seniors. You must be majoring in computer science, IT, engineering, computer arts animation, game development, or graphic design; and be a resident of Miami-Dade, Broward, or Palm Beach County to be eligible for this award.

Houzz Women in Architecture Scholarship

Deadline: 3/31/24
Available to: Undergraduate & Graduate Students
Award Amount: $2,500 The Houzz Women in Architecture Scholarship is available to female undergraduate and graduate students. You must be majoring in architecture or landscape architecture to be eligible for this award.

1,000 Dreams Scholarship Fund

Deadline: 3/31/24
Available to: High School & College Students
Award Amount: $1,000 The 1,000 Dreams Scholarship Fund is open to female high school and college students. You must demonstrate financial need to be eligible for this award.

Building Opportunities for Sistas to Shine (B.O.S.S.) Scholarship

Deadline: 3/31/24
Available to: High School Seniors
Award Amount: $1,750 The Building Opportunities for Sistas to Shine (B.O.S.S.) Scholarship is available to cis and transgender female high school seniors. You must have at least one parent of African descent, be under the age of 20, and have a minimum 3.5 GPA to be eligible for this award.

VIP Women in Technology Scholarship

Deadline: 3/31/24
Award Amount: Varies The VIP Women in Technology Scholarship is available to female students who are pursuing a career in computer science, information technology, management information systems, or a related field. You must have a minimum 3.0 GPA to be eligible for this award. You must also submit a 1500 - word essay on the following topic: "Choose a technological innovation that you have been excited about and / or been personally involved with, this could be something from the past or present day. Discuss how that technology has changed the world around you or how it could change the world. How would you make that innovation better?"

NeW Essay Contest

Deadline: 3/31/24
Award Amount: $500 The NeW Essay Contest is open to female high school juniors and seniors and current undergraduate students. To be considered, you must submit a 600 - to 750 - word essay on the following topic: "Reflect on your experiences as a leader. How do you lead in your sphere of influence? What is the best piece of leadership advice you have received, and how did you put it into action? What qualities do the female leaders you look up to possess? When have you had to make a difficult decision as a leader, and what did you learn from this experience? What helps you handle the weight of being a leader?"

Women on Par Scholarship

Deadline: 4/2/24
Available to: Undergraduate Students
Award Amount: $1,000 - $4,000 The Women on Par Scholarship is available to female undergraduate students in the U.S. and Canada. You must be at least 30 years of age and demonstrate financial need to be eligible for this award. Only the first 200 applications will be accepted.

Laurels Fund

Deadline: 4/15/24
Available to: Graduate Students
Award Amount: $3,000 The Laurels Fund Scholarship is available to female students pursuing advanced degrees in accounting. You must have completed comprehensive exams prior to the previous fall semester to be eligible for this award.

Michigan Sugar Queen Scholarship

Deadline: 4/19/24
Available to: Ages 18 - 23
Award Amount: $1,000 - $2,000 The Michigan Sugar Queen Scholarship is available to female students between the ages of 18 and 23. You must be continuing your studies at an accredited college in the state of Michigan, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, and be a resident of a county where sugarbeets are grown to be eligible for this award. Recipients of this award must be willing to commit to serving as the Sugar Queen or Court attendant for one full year. You must also be unmarried and have no minor dependents, and must remain unmarried for the entire reign.

Association for Women in Architecture Foundation Scholarship

Deadline: 4/19/24
Available to: Undergraduate & Graduate Students
Award Amount: $2,500 - $7,500 The Association for Women in Architecture Foundation Scholarship is available to female students who reside or attend school in California. You must be majoring in architecture, landscape architecture, urban and land planning, interior design, environmental design, urban design, or historic preservation to be eligible for this award.

Perry 'Second Chances' Scholarship Award

Deadline: 4/27/24
Available to: Undergraduate & Graduate Students
Award Amount: $4,000 The Perry 'Second Chances' Scholarship Award is available to women and girls who have been impacted by incarceration. You must be a U.S. citizen to be eligible for this award. Priority will be given to women of color.

Association of Women Contractors Scholarship

Deadline: 4/30/24
Available to: Undergraduate & Graduate Students
Award Amount: Varies The Association of Women Contractors Scholarship is available to female students who are enrolled in a construction - related program. You must reside or attend school in Minnesota to be eligible for this award.

Women's Jewelry Association Student Scholarship

Deadline: 4/30/24
Available to: Undergraduate & Graduate Students
Award Amount: $1,000 - $7,000 The Women's Jewelry Association Student Scholarship is available to female and female - identifying students. You must be enrolled in a jewelry, metalsmithing, or watch program to be eligible for this award.

Women's Southern Golf Association Scholarship

Deadline: 5/1/24
Available to: High School Seniors
Award Amount: $3,500 The Women's Southern Golf Association Scholarship is available to female high school seniors who play or have an interest in golf. You must be a resident of one of the 15 southern states or the District of Columbia to be eligible for this award.

Julie A. Keil Women in Hydro Scholarship

Deadline: 5/15/24
Available to: Undergraduate & Graduate Students
Award Amount: Varies The Julie A. Keil Women in Hydro Scholarship is available to women who are majoring in a discipline relevant to entering the hydropower industry. You must demonstrate academic merit and financial need to be considered for this award.

National Cherry Queen Program

Deadline: 5/20/24
Available to: Ages 19-25
Award Amount: $8,250 The National Cherry Queen Program is open to female students who are between the ages of 19 and 25 and residing in Michigan. You must be of good character and conduct, have never been convicted of a crime, be single, and not be pregnant or have children to be eligible for this award. Also, you are not permitted to smoke, vape, or consume alcohol at any time during the competition. The top recipient will become the spokesperson for the National Cherry Festival and the Cherry Industry.

Empowering Women through STEM Grant

Deadline: 9/30/24
Available to: High School Juniors & Seniors
Award Amount: $25,000 The Empowering Women through STEM Grant is available to female, non-binary, and female identifying high school juniors and seniors. You must be planning to attend the Universal Technical Institute, Motorcycle and Marine Mechanics Institute, or NASCAR Technical Institute to be eligible for this award.

Goldman Sachs MBA Fellowship

Deadline: Varies
Available to: Graduate Students
Award Amount: $75,000 The Goldman Sachs MBA Fellowship is available to first - year Black, Hispanic / Latinx, Native American / Indigenous, LGBTQ+, and female students. You must have an interest in the financial services industry and be pursuing a summer associate position at Goldman Sachs to be eligible for this award.

P.E.O. Program for Continuing Education

Deadline: Varies
Available to: College Juniors through Graduate Students
Award Amount: $3,000 The P.E.O. Program for Continuing Education is available to female students in the United States and Canada. You must be a citizen of the US or Canada and attend a college or university in the US or Canada. You must be within 24 months of completing your educational goal and have spent at least 24 consecutive months as a non-student during your adult life to be eligible for this award. Students in doctoral and professional degree programs are not eligible. Remember, there are plenty of additional scholarships available that aren't exclusive to women.
