National Ag Day Essay Contest

Available to: High School Freshmen through High School Seniors
Award Amount: 2 Awards of $1,000 The National Ag Day Essay Contest is available to high school students. Courageous Persuaders Video Contest

Available to: High School Freshmen through High School Seniors
Award Amount: 14 Awards from $250 - $3,000 The Courageous Persuaders Video Contest is available to high school students. To be considered, you must create a 30-second television commercial targeted at middle school students to warn them about the dangers of underage drinking or texting while driving. The Christophers High School Poster Contest

Deadline: 2/18/19
Available to: High School Freshmen through High School Seniors
Award Amount: 8 Awards from $100-$1,000 The Christophers High School Poster Contest is open to students in grades 9 through 12. To enter, you must create a 16" x 20" poster that illustrates the idea that one person can change the world for the better, and includes the following statement: "You can make a difference." Each poster must be the work of one student and the poster concept, design and any photos or artwork used must be the original work of the student entering the competition. Scholars Helping Collars Scholarship

Deadline: 2/28/19
Available to: High School Seniors
Award Amount: $1,000 The Scholars Helping Collars Scholarship is open to current high school seniors. You must submit an essay of between 500 and 1000 words with two to three photos of your volunteer efforts to help animals in need and how that involvement has changed your lives or shaped your perceptions on the importance of animal welfare in order to be considered for this award. Create-a-Greeting Card Scholarship Contest

Deadline: 3/01/19 Award: $10,000 Available to: Ages 14+ The Create-A-Greeting Card Scholarship Contest is open to currently enrolled high school and college students in the United States. To enter, you must design a holiday, get well, or birthday greeting card and submit your work to be judged. Your photo, art, or graphics submitted must be your own original work and you must be at least 14 years of age to be eligible for this award. AACT John Kitt Memorial Scholarship

Deadline: 3/25/19 Award: $5,000 Available to: College Sophomores through College Seniors The AACT John Kitt Memorial Scholarship is available to sophomore, junior, and senior students who have a demonstrated interest in confectionery technology. To be eligible, you must be majoring in food science, chemical science, biological science, or a related field at an accredited four-year college or university and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Spirit of Giving Scholarship

Available to: High School Seniors through College Seniors
Award Amount: 3 Awards of $1,000 The Spirit of Giving Scholarship is available to high school seniors and current college students. You must submit an essay of between 500 and 750 words on one of the following three topics in order to be considered for this award: How have you advanced the spirit of giving in your community or abroad either through service or in giving? How has the spirit of giving affected you personally? How will your college or post-secondary education allow you to be of service to others or give to others? Gift of Hope Hispanic Scholarship

Deadline: Varies Award: Varies Available to: College Freshmen through College Seniors The Gift of Hope Hispanic Scholarship is available to Hispanic and Latino students who are majoring or minoring in a foreign language or with an endorsement in TESOL at the University of Findlay. Anna and Charles Stockwitz Children and Youth Fund

Deadline: Varies Award: $6,000 Available to: College Freshmen through College Seniors The purpose of the Anna and Charles Stockwitz Children and Youth Fund is to assist Jewish children and teens with a valuable educational, social, or psychological experience, or to assist them in attending undergraduate school. The fund provides a maximum amount of $6,000 for a grant, loan or both. You must reside in San Francisco, Marin, Peninsula or Sonoma counties if applying for a grant, and you must reside in the San Francisco Bay Area to be eligible for a loan. City Year, a proud member of AmeriCorps, is a national service organization that brings together young adults from diverse backgrounds for a demanding ten months of full - time community service, leadership development, and civic engagement. In 20 locations across the United States, these young leaders invest their talents and energy to address our country's most critical needs. City Year corps members engage others in service and make a positive difference in their communities and in the lives of children and youth. Corps members also receive a weekly living stipend and basic health insurance. Eligibility Requirements: Must be between the ages of 17-24 and a United States citizen or permanent resident alien. Mars, Inc. Confectionery Connoisseur Internship

Available to: Ages 21+
The Confectionery Connoisseur Internship is available to students who are at least 21 years of age, but possess the mindset of a kid in a candy shop. Interns must be able to distinguish all five fruity flavors from the Skittles rainbow in a blind taste - test, be able to blow bubbles with chewing gum that are greater than 5" in diameter, and demonstrate the will power to write about and photograph candy without eating it before the work is complete. You must also have strong writing and communication skills across a range of technical audiences, have experience in journalism and / or creative content development, be active and knowledgeable across social media platforms, and possess photo / video editing and production skills. Some key responsibilities will include: tasting and developing a deep appreciation for chocolate, gum, mint, and confectionery products from around the world; traveling to Mars Wrigley Confectionery manufacturing sites to understand and document how the world's most beloved candy brands are made; interviewing business leaders across R&D, Marketing, Sustainability, Regulatory, Sales, and Manufacturing to learn about the complex and exciting confectionery category; elevating recognition of the Mars Wrigley Confectionery AdvanceMint program designed to help improve the lives and livelihoods of mint farmers across the world, and leading ideation and planning for Chicago - based Mars Volunteer Program events.
