Seasonal Work to Help You Pay for School
Thousands of part-time jobs available for the holiday season, despite COVID.
It’s beginning to look a lot like – the Holidays? Even in the total time warp that Coronavirus has made of 2020, the Holiday Season is still managing to barrel down on us at a breakneck speed now that it’s October. Macy’s stores around the country are already glistening with white-lit evergreen trees. True story. Typically, hiring is up at this time of year, but will COVID impact holiday hiring? Monster cited a Deloitte report that predicts consumer spending will be up by 1 – 1.5% and online retail will see an increase of about 35%. Retail stores will have to pivot to meet the demand of their online sales as well as provide a safe shopping experience in light of the Coronavirus pandemic -- we may require more creative holiday jobs like temperature takers, mask enforcers, and curbside workers. So, while COVID may impact what types of holiday jobs exist, it hasn’t decreased a need for holiday workers. Monster has put together a list of employers that are already hiring for the holidays. If you’re considering seasonal work at the end of this year, now is the time to start applying.
