The Flavorful Futures Go Green Scholarship, sponsored by the Talking Rain Beverage Company (Sparkling Ice), recognizes and rewards high school seniors who are actively involved in environmental initiatives and plan to pursue a related college degree.
This unique scholarship program is part of the larger Flavorful Futures initiative, aimed at supporting students who are creating positive change in their communities. The "Go Green" component specifically focuses on students whose academic and extracurricular pursuits demonstrate a commitment to conservation, sustainability, and environmental stewardship.
In addition to the Go Green award, Sparkling Ice also offers the Flavorful Futures $5K Scholarship—a separate opportunity designed for creative, ambitious students who embody positivity, flavor, and originality. This scholarship honors high school seniors who are making a positive impact in their communities through creativity and leadership, regardless of their major. Together, both scholarships reflect Sparkling Ice’s mission to empower the next generation of changemakers—whether they’re saving the planet or shaping their communities in other meaningful ways.
Be a current, Class of 2026, high school senior graduating between August 1 and July 31.
Plan to major in environmental studies or a related field (e.g., sustainability, conservation science, environmental engineering) at an accredited U.S. institution.
Have a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
Be a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident of the United States.
Must enroll for the following Fall academic term as a freshman in part-time or full-time study at an accredited 2-year, 4-year, college, university, trade, or vocational school.
Provide proof of involvement in sustainable initiatives and projects (such as volunteering, part-time jobs, or school leadership roles related to conservation).
Not be a relative or dependent child of an employee of Talking Rain or any of its retail customers.
Students who may not be pursuing environmental studies but still wish to apply for a Sparkling Ice scholarship should explore the Flavorful Futures Scholarship. It encourages students of all interests and career paths to share what makes their future “flavorful” through short video submissions that highlight their goals, creativity, and individuality.
