Business, Management, and Marketing
Business majors earn one of the most versatile degrees available today. Whether it’s owning and operating a franchise, running a startup, growing an established company or becoming a stellar salesperson, a business major covers all the bases.
In addition to being one of the most versatile fields of study, it’s also very easy to find a wide variety of schools that offer it. From community colleges to Ivy League graduate schools, business as a major is available almost everywhere, including virtually.
Students who enroll in business as a major will typically take classes like economics, finance, management, social science courses and at least a few math courses. They’ll work heavily in spreadsheets, while learning analytical skills as well as people skills, to round out all facets of business. Some opt to specialize in certain facets of business, such as international business, finance, marketing and corporate relations.
