Description
The Golden LEAF Scholarship - Four-Year University Program is available to North Carolina resident students who attend one of the 89 member institutions of the North Carolina Community College System. To be eligible for this award, you must be a permanent resident of one of the 73 eligible counties as determined by the Golden LEAF Foundation, demonstrate financial need, and be enrolled half-time if you are a curriculum (degree-seeking) student. Eligible students will then undergo a separate "merit" competition based on: the effect of the decline in the tobacco industry on your family; the effect of the declining economy on your family; academic record; overall evaluation of the application; leadership and community service.
