Rear Admiral John D. Hayes Pre-doctoral Fellowship
Naval History and Heritage Command
The Rear Admiral John D. Hayes Pre-doctoral Fellowship is open to graduate students who are studying U.S. naval history. You must be a U.S. citizen, enrolled in a recognized graduate school and have completed all the requirements for the Ph.D. except the dissertation by June 30, 2014 to be eligible for this award. Fellows will be given desk space in the Naval Historical Center and a stipend of $10,000 for the academic fellowship year. Topics in all periods of U.S. naval history will be considered, including operations, biography, technology and science, strategy and tactics, administration, social, and diplomacy.
