Award Amount: Varies The Association for Women in Mathematics (AWM) Essay Contest on Biographies of Contemporary Women in Mathematics is open to all students in three categories: grades 6 - 8, grades 9 - 12, and college undergraduates. Your essay must be primarily based on an interview with a woman currently working in a mathematical career and be approximately 500 to 1000 words in length. The winning essays will be posted on the AWM web page and the grand prize winner will have his or her essay published in the AWM Newsletter. Available to: Grades 3 through 12
Award Amount: Up to $500 The EngineerGirl Essay Contest is available to male and female students in grades three through twelve. To be considered, you must write an original, fictional story in which the main character is a female who uses engineering skills to solve a problem. 4. Jeannette Rankin Women's Scholarship

Available to: At least 35 years old
Award Amount: Varies The Jeannette Rankin Women's Scholarship is available to female students who are age 35 or older. You must be a low - income student pursuing a technical, vocational, associate's, or bachelor's degree at a regionally accredited school to be eligible for this award. Award Amount: $2,000 The P.E.O. Program for Continuing Education is available to female students in the United States and Canada.
