The Mississippi Museum of Art AAMD Operations Internship is available to undergraduate students from underrepresented communities who are interested in learning more about their academic and career goals as it relates to arts administration and museum leadership. To be considered for this internship, you should be detail-oriented and possess excellent communication and collaboration skills. As an intern, you will work directly with the Chief Operating Officer, who oversees the facility, gardens, and human resources. You will receive insight into the administrative and operational side of working at an art museum as well as overall counsel on your professional development. You will also work with multiple departments to develop an understanding of the day-to-day, visitor-centered operations of the organization and present a plan to strengthen the diverse visitor experience, connecting to MMA’s core value of warm welcome and inclusion. This 12-week internship is offered in Jackson, MS.
