Description

The Everytown for Gun Safety State Government Affairs Internship is available to undergraduate and graduate students who are pursuing studies in public administration, public policy, criminal justice, or a related field. To be considered for this internship, you should be detail oriented, self-starter who is able to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced environment. Additionally, you should be proficient in Google Suite and have strong communication skills. As an intern, you will assist state officials (state representatives, state senators, governors, attorney generals) in providing resources to end community-based gun violence and advocate for and advance local, state, and federal gun safety measures. You will shadow state legislature members, perform bill tracking and legislative reporting, and provide administrative support for the team. This internship is offered in Washington, DC, during the summer.
