The Raleigh News and Observer News Internship is available to sophomore-level and above journalism students. To be considered for this internship, you should possess solid news judgment, accuracy, high ethical standards, and have an understanding of the professional use of social media in news-gathering and audience engagement. Additionally, you should hold a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation. Preference will be given to applicants who have experience working at a college publication, either print or online, and to those with a previous internship or freelance experience at a daily newspaper or professional news organization. As an intern, you will write stories, shoot photos and videos, create engaging social media content that will be seen by thousands of readers, and make invaluable connections for future employment. This internship is offered in Raleigh, NC, and runs for 10 weeks during the Summer.
