Description

The Computational Material Science Intern is available to Ph.D. candidate at a top university in chemical engineering, physics, chemistry, materials science, or a related field. You must have solid foundations in materials science, solid-state physics, and/or chemistry, attention to detail, flexibility, creativity, and excellent communication and teamwork skills, and experience in atomistic simulations, preferably density-functional theory, molecular dynamics, and/or quantum chemistry to be considered for this position. As an intern, you will focus on studying the kinetics of oxygen diffusion in ionomer/nanoparticles/support structures in fuel cells, proton diffusion in fuel cell Nafion polymer, or atomistic-scale degradation mechanisms of fuel cell catalyst materials. This internship is located in Cambridge, MA.
