The Henry Clepper Forest Policy Internship is available to students who are interested in learning about federal natural resources policy, work closely with the SAF team, and network with partner organizations in DC. You must email a resume, cover letter, and short writing sample to be considered for this position. As an intern, you will be attending congressional hearings; participating in meetings with congressional staff, agencies, and partner groups; researching/analyzing proposed bills and rules; helping to write comments, letters, and other communication materials; assisting with outreach to state societies and student chapters; writing articles for The Forestry Source and Issues & Advocacy Now; and more long-term research projects.
