Description

The Urban Ministry Internship Program at City Vision College - Teen Program Coordinator position is open to students interested in gaining practical experience in urban ministry. You must be at least 18 years old, possess a high school diploma or equivalent (GED), and be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national or lawful permanent resident in the U.S. or have a valid student visa to be eligible for this award. This position will assist with a teen program based in a church or faith-based organization, serving through tutoring, mentoring, college prep, assisting with web-based academic enrichment elements, conducting community and parent outreach, assisting with community and school partnerships, planning college visits and workshops as directed, coordinating volunteers, and providing overall support. While they are at the internship site, interns are primarily responsible to their field supervisor, who files periodic reports with the college. They give guidance to interns and organize training experiences to coincide with the assignments of the City Vision College courses, which are taken online. Field supervisors coordinate the training experience of interns in conjunction with the college. They also work with other internship site staff members who will be involved with the training experience.
