The NASA Internships are available to high school through graduate-level students attending full-time accredited programs appropriate to the NASA internship. You must be a U.S. citizen, majoring in a wide variety of majors ranging from business to science and engineering to be considered for this internship.
The Student Volunteer Program is available to students enrolled or accepted in an accredited educational institution (high school, technical school, college/university) during the upcoming semester or quarter. You must be a U.S. citizen, at least 16 years of age, minimum GPA of 2.5, obtain an agreement from the academic institution to participate, and not be a son or daughter of a current U.S. Secret Service employee to be eligible for this position.
The High School Semester-Long Internship / High School Summer Internship is available to upstanding high school seniors throughout the school year and the summer after graduation. You must be at least 16 years of age AND a graduating senior in high school when internship begins, United States citizens or permanent resident alien at the time of application, and a strong interest in plasma physics, fusion energy, etc. to be considered for this position. As an intern, you will chance to work on a project with a member of our research or engineering staff.
The Higher Education Research Experience at Oak Ridge National Laboratory Program for Entering Freshmen is available to entering freshman students who are pursuing a degree or career in science, mathematics, engineering, technology, or a related field. The 10- week summer program allows students to complement academic programs and improve scientific literacy by assisting with Oak Ridge National Laboratory's research in the fields of neutron science, biological systems, energy, advanced materials, national security, supercomputing, and other areas.
The HS Internship Program is available to students that are in grades 8-12. As an intern, you will be provided with educational and community service experience and communication, science/engineering skills.
The Freer and Sackler Galleries at the Smithsonian Institution offers the Richard Louie Memorial Internship for Americans of Asian Descent to students who live and attend a high school in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. You must be of Asian descent, be either a rising senior or graduating senior, and demonstrate an interest in learning about museum work and Asian art.
The Adler Planetarium High School Internship Program is open to students attending the following Chicago Public Schools: The Air Force Academy High School, North Lawndale College Prep, and Pritzker College Prep. Students will be placed in professional museum roles that vary from positions in Visitor Experience and Learning to basic Research.
The Claim Professional Development Program Internship is available to freshman students who are serious about entering the insurance industry and who are excited about the prospect of making Claim their future career choice. You must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or above business administration liberal arts (with business focus preferred) business management risk management and insurance to be considered for this position.
The Schatz Seniors Internship is available to high school seniors from Across the State. You must have a minimum GPA of 2.5, have personal access to email throughout the internship, demonstrate involvement in your community, diversity of interests and life experiences, and leadership to be considered for this position. As an intern, you will work with outreach staff, identify issues of interest to your communities, and attend and staff special events.
The General Smithsonian Internship is open to students who are at least 14 years of age. You must demonstrate an interest in business and public administration, history, art, science, culture, or education in order to be considered for this award.
The Davey Tree Expert Company Internship is available to high school diploma/GED exceptional students who are interested in expanding their field experience in the areas of tree care, plant health care, sales, and client services. You must be studying arboriculture, urban forestry, horticulture, landscape design, forestry or related discipline, enthusiasm for proper plant care and arboriculture, and a positive attitude and willingness to learn to be considered for this position. As an intern, you will work towards completing the CDP “C” Climber booklet.
