For most interns, an internship is unpaid and involves a whole lot of busy work, coffee fetching and various other errands. However, if you are lucky enough to snag an internship at one of the following companies, the benefits are boundless and the pay is, well, better than the average person’s full-time gig.

The rankings are based on the Glassdoor data revealing 2016’s highest paid internships – some earning more than $7,000 a month average base pay!

If you’re hoping to obtain high internship pay, we recommend getting into tech-related fields, as the majority of the top paying companies are in the technology sector. The second highest paying field was oil, gas, energy and utilities.
