Music has a hidden power. Yes, it sounds nice, and it dulls the awkward silence we would otherwise hear in restaurants, waiting rooms, and grocery stores. It’s a form of communication that can help us heal, vent, connect or even disconnect from the world. In 2020, COVID amplified the importance of music as in-person concerts and music tours were canceled for most of the year—we realized just how much we missed live music.

To be eligible for this music business scholarship applicants must: Be a Full-Time, undergraduate students with a minimum of 60 credit hours.
Be enrolled at an accredited college or university.
Pursue a music industry career in concert promotion and venue operation, sponsorship and/or advertising, ticketing, e-commerce or artist management.
Have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Submit the scholarship application form.
Provide college transcript copy and proof of enrollment.
Supply a resume or CV.
Attach two letters of recommendation.
Write a 500-word essay on the role of music in your life, explaining how it has motivated you to get a job in the music industry. You’re expected to include your long-term professional goals within the entertainment industry.
The scholarship winner will be expected to provide a follow-up essay detailing how the funds from the Live Nation Scholarship supported their higher education journey and their career goal progress.
