Music has a hidden power. Yes, it sounds nice, and it dulls the awkward silence we would otherwise hear in restaurants, waiting rooms, and grocery stores. $10,000 Concert Business Scholarship

Music Forward, House of Blues and Live Nation announced their $10,000 Live Nation Scholarship will be available again in 2022. This scholarship opportunity is designed specifically for students interested in the music industry and concert business. According to Music Forward Foundation, college students interested in five parts of concert and music business will benefit from the $10,000 scholarship. The key aspects of concert business related to this scholarship include:
  1. Concert Promotion and Venue Operation
  2. Ticketing
  3. Sponsorship
  4. E-Commerce
  5. Artist Management

About the Live Nation Scholarship

$10,000 Live Nation Scholarship

Deadline: 3/31/22
To be eligible for this music business scholarship applicants must:
  • Be a Full-Time, undergraduate students with a minimum of 60 credit hours.
  • Be enrolled at an accredited college or university.
  • Pursue a music industry career in concert promotion and venue operation, sponsorship and/or advertising, ticketing, e-commerce or artist management.
  • Have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Scholarship Requirements

    Several steps are required to complete the scholarship entry. You must:
  • Submit the scholarship application form.
  • Provide college transcript copy and proof of enrollment.
  • Supply a resume or CV.
  • Attach two letters of recommendation.
  • Write a 500-word essay on the role of music in your life, explaining how it has motivated you to get a job in the music industry. You’re expected to include your long-term professional goals within the entertainment industry.
  • The scholarship winner will be expected to provide a follow-up essay detailing how the funds from the Live Nation Scholarship supported their higher education journey and their career goal progress.

    Steven J. Finkel Service Excellence Scholarship

    Deadline: 3/31/22 Award Amount: $10,000 The Steven J. Finkel Service Excellence Scholarship is available to full - time junior and senior students. You must be pursuing a career in live entertainment and have a minimum 3.0 GPA to be eligible for this award.

    Tiffany Green Operator Scholarship

    Deadline: 03/31/22 Award Amount: $10,000 The Tiffany Green Operator Scholarship is available to full-time junior and senior students. You must be pursuing a degree in live event operations, production, music engineering, or a related field of study and have a minimum 3.0 GPA to be eligible for this award.

    David E. Ballard Scholarship

    Deadline: 3/31/22 Award Amount: $10,000 The David E. Ballard Scholarship is open to full-time undergraduate students with a minimum of 60 credits earned who have experienced homelessness and/or been part of the foster care system. You must be pursuing a career in live entertainment, music engineering, business management, customer service, hospitality or other industry related field and have a minimum GPA of 2.75 in order to be considered for this award.

    Affinity Plus Scholarship

    Deadline: 3/31/22 Award Amount: $5,000 The Affinity Plus Scholarship is available to full - time junior and senior students who are enrolled at an accredited college or university in the state of Minnesota or an Affinity Plus member studying out-of-state at the time of award in the fall semester. You must be pursuing a career related to the music industry and have a minimum 3.0 GPA to be eligible for this award.
