South Georgia State College is a four-year, state-supported, residential state college located in Douglas, Georgia, United States.

In January 2013, South Georgia College and Waycross College officially consolidated their resources into South Georgia State College, a multi-campus institution that is strategically positioned as one of the most progressive and influential schools in the region. In 2011, just over a year before consolidation plans were announced, the Georgia Board of Regents approved a mission change for South Georgia College, which resulted in the institution becoming a state college with the ability to offer limited baccalaureate degrees. Now SGSC offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. SGSC also has over 20 programs of study leading to associate degrees. With many opportunities to interact with faculty, students receive individualized academic guidance from professionals in their field of study. The college is committed to academic achievement and utilizes a number of advanced strategies to guide students as they pursue their degrees. Among these strategies is a new Academic Support Center, which provides free tutoring in Powell Hall and in the residence halls to enhance classroom performance. The consolidated institution now has a student enrollment of over 3,000 students on its two campuses and the entry programs at Valdosta State University and Georgia Southwestern State University.
