Middle Georgia College (MGC) was a four-year state college unit of the University System of Georgia. On Jan. 8, 2013, it was merged with Macon State College into a new institution, known as Middle Georgia State College.
MGC's main campus in Cochran is now a satellite campus of Middle Georgia State College, and it continues to operate with the same facilities as it had before consolidation. Middle Georgia College's other two campuses -- located in Eastman and Dublin -- also continue to operate as campuses of Middle Georgia State College.
