Description
The Back Bay Amateur Astronomers Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors who are interested in studying astronomy at an accredited post-secondary institution. You must be a resident of Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Hampton or Newport News in Virginia, have a minimum "B" GPA and have a minimum 1100 SAT (out of 1600)/24 ACT score to be eligible for this award. You may also be eligible to apply if you are nominated by a BBAA member in good standing and reside within a 50-mile radius of Virginia Beach.
