The Pennsylvania State Grant Program is open to eligible Pennsylvania residents who are able to sufficiently demonstrate financial need. To be considered for the award, you must be enrolled at least half - time in a Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) approved undergraduate program of study and have a high school diploma (or a GED). You do not necessarily have to be attending a school in Pennsylvania, but your chances of receiving more aid are significantly higher if you attend an institution within the state. Students attending post - secondary schools in Maryland, New Jersey, or New York are not eligible.
