Description
The Brandon Hendricks Scholarship is available to high school seniors from the Bronx that have recently been admitted into college. To be considered for this award, you must submit written statements reflecting on Brandon’s life, cut short by gun violence, and detailing how you hope to use your education to improve the quality of life in the Bronx. There will also be an interview phase for the top 10 finalists. This scholarship is renewable for up to four years provided the student maintains a 3.0 GPA and is involved in one extracurricular activity at school (clubs, sports, etc.). After the first year, the award recipients will become mentors to the next pair of winners for the following year and will continue until graduation.
