Officer Brian Shaw Memorial Scholarship

Description

The Officer Brian Shaw Memorial Scholarship is available to full-time cadets at Allegheny County Police Academy whose tuition has not been paid by a municipality, government unit or military program such as the GI Bill. To be considered for this award, you must submit a written essay addressing the following prompt: "Officer Brian Shaw embodied many qualities, but perhaps the most important qualities were humility, integrity, dedication and compassion. How are the qualities of humility, integrity, dedication and compassion present in your life, using examples where appropriate, and why are they important qualities that every police officer should possess?". This full scholarship is a tuition reimbursement scholarship which will be awarded each semester at graduation.
