Latinas Excelling at Doctoral Degrees (LEADD) Program
Rutgers University at New Brunswick
The Latinas Excelling at Doctoral Degrees (LEADD) Program is available to Latina undergraduate students who plan to attend graduate school. This virtual program will equip and empower students to strengthen their confidence, validate their research interests, create community, and share resources to combat cultural and academic isolation of Latinas and women of color. LEADD Scholars benefit from workshops and discussions focusing on topics such as cultural and academic isolation, cultural values and academic expectations, peer support and mentorship, as well as identity, advocacy, and research design. To be considered for LEADD, you should be interested in exploring potential research interests and career opportunities as a professor with an interest in knowledge production that would positively contribute to Latinas in the professoriate. Selection is based on a personal narrative video and a CV/resume.
