Description
The NSHSS First Generation Scholarship is available to first generation college students. You must demonstrate a commitment to expanding the diversity and inclusion initiatives in your school, community, or workplace to be eligible for this award. Selection is based on an educator recommendation, academic merit, and a 500-800 word essay addressing the topic: "College can be challenging, from filling out financial aid to enrolling in classes, choosing a major, and making new friends. As a first generation college student, what challenges have you faced and how did you overcome it?".
