Description

The JCFS Scholarship is open to junior and senior undergraduate students and graduate students who are Jewish. You must be born and raised in Cook County, the Chicago metropolitan area, Northwest Indiana, be planning on entering a career in a helping profession, and demonstrate financial need in order to be considered for this award. Helping professions include but are not limited to: business, communications, education, healthcare, Jewish communal service, law, medicine, performing and fine arts, physical and natural sciences, social services, the Rabbinate, tech and associated sciences, and urban affairs and public policy. Students who have one continuous year of full-time employment in Cook County or the Chicago metropolitan area prior to starting professional education are also eligible to apply.
