Mary Cathryn White Memorial Scholarship

Description

The Mary Cathryn White Memorial Scholarship is available to female graduating high school seniors who have overcome the challenges of mental and behavioral health. To be eligible for this award, you must live in Tennessee or the Mid-Southern region of the U.S. Additionally, you must have you successfully completed an inpatient program in a facility, wing, or unit dedicated to behavioral health such as substance abuse, eating disorder or psychiatric disorder and have overcome suicidal ideations and/or attempt. Selection is based on academic merit, letter or discharge statement from in-patient facility, confirmation of acceptance to college or university, two letters of recommendation, and a personal essay submission.
