National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Scholarship Program

Description

The NHSC Scholarship Program is available to students pursing primary care health professions on a full-time basis. To be eligible for this award, you must be enrolled a in medicine program (allopathic or osteopathic), dentistry program, or postgraduate degree/certificate in nurse midwifery education, physician assistant (PA) education, or nurse practitioner (NP) education program (specializing in adult medicine, family medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, psychiatric-mental, health, or women’s health). Additionally, you must be a U.S. citizen/national. If return for scholarship award, selected recipients commit to providing primary care health services to underserved communities. The NHSC Scholarship Program pays for tuition and various other reasonable education-related costs and also provides a monthly stipend to assist with living expenses in exchange for a minimum of two years of full-time service.
