The Coast Guard Essay Contest is open to active duty, military, reservists, veterans, and civilians. To be considered, you must submit a maximum 2,500 - word essay on the following topic: "What changes should the U.S. Coast Guard make today to meet the Nation’s maritime security challenges 5, 10, or 20 years in the future?"
