Description

The Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Franklin County Scholarship is open to students who are residents of Franklin County, Arkansas. You must be a single head of household (divorced, widowed, separated, never married) and have custody of and be responsible for daily care of at least one minor child. You must also qualify as low income at or near the poverty level and be a recipient of or applying for a Pell Grant. Also, you must have a minimum 2.0 GPA, be a high school graduate or GED recipient, and be enrolled in or accepted by a public or private nonprofit post-secondary school in a program that will improve self-sufficiency and provide a better standard of living to be eligible for this award. You must not have a baccalaureate degree with the exception of those pursuing a masters in teaching.
