Description
The SHERO Scholarship is open to female graduating seniors from public high schools in Baltimore City. You must demonstrate understanding of the value of giving your time and talent to help others and have verifiable community service. Also, you must submit at least one reference from an individual who can attest to your commitment to helping others and submit an essay (minimum of 500 words) describing how your pursuit of a college education will assist you in achieving your personal goals and becoming a productive citizen committed to your community. Additionally, you must be accepted and plan to attend a two- or four-year college or university in Maryland and demonstrate financial need to qualify for this award.
