Description
Open to high school seniors and college students pursuing a career in music who are vocalists and instrumentalists. Applicants must show proof of maintaining a 3.0 GPA for the last 2 semesters prior to the audition and must be residents of the Alexandria district. The district includes the parishes of Allen, Avoyelles, Beauregard, Catahoula, Concordia, Evaneline, Grant, LaSalle, Natchitoches, Rapides, Sabine, Vernon, and Winn. Each scholarship is awarded for a 2-year period and is $300 a semester, totaling $1200 for four semesters. Auditions will be held at the Lousiana College Fine Arts Building.
