Minority Teaching Fellows Program

The Minority Teaching Fellows Program is open to minority Tennessee residents who are either a high school senior or a continuing college student. To be considered for the award, if you are a high school senior, you must have a minimum 2.75 GPA and either have a minimum score of 18 on the ACT (or the SAT equivalent) or be in the top 25 percent of your high school class. If you are a continuing college student, you must have achieved a minimum 2.5 GPA in college. Additionally, you must be a U.S. citizen. If you are selected for this award, you automatically commit to teach at a K-12 level in a Tennessee public school one year for each year the award is received.
