Description

The Detroit Radio Information Service (DRIS) Internship for Radio Board Operator/Production is open to undergraduate students who are interested in radio board operations/production. Interns will assist in all areas of radio and production work including live broadcasts, taped programming, radio board operation, automation system, production, assisting volunteer readers/program hosts and other assigned tasks. To be eligible for this internship, you must have: proficient radio skills with previous classroom and/or hands-on radio board experience; good communication skills and the ability to work with others; the ability to work with little supervision; a willingness to participate in/produce programming at events outside of the station; a willingness to read publications on-air when required; and an interest in writing, editing and voicing radio copy. You must be able to work 10 to 15 hours per week. This internship is unpaid. Preference is given to students receiving credit.
