The Detroit Radio Information Service (DRIS) Internship in Marketing/PR/Development is open to undergraduate students who are interested in public relations and development. Interns will assist the director with a variety of projects, such as production (writing, editing, layout) of the quarterly newsletter, and assisting with listener relations, outreach, community relations, media relations, special events and ongoing development and marketing campaigns. To be eligible for this internship, you must have: flexibility to work in a variety of situations; excellent creative and writing skills (journalism, PR, and business correspondence a plus); good communication skills with an emphasis on persuasive speaking and writing, sales or fundraising; ability to speak in public and on-air; and basic office skills. You must be able to work 10-15 hours per week. This is an unpaid internship.
