The WDET 101.9 FM News Internship is open to students who are interested in broadcast journalism and radio news. Internship duties include: interviewing newsmakers at events and conferences, gathering tape from phone interviews, writing news copy, researching news stories, and being able to work under deadline pressure. You must be able to work at least 20 hours per week and have familiarity with the basics of journalism. You must also be able to write clearly, cogently and quickly, and demonstrate a strong commitment to learning to be eligible for this internship.
