The BNSF Transportation Internship is available to students pursuing a bachelors or graduate degree in logistics, transportation, supply chain management, business, communications, technical, or a similar degree program from an accredited university. To be considered for this role, you should be capable of working in a 24/7 environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and can safely perform duties outdoors in all weather conditions or in a shop, terminal, or field environment. This position includes climbing ladders and navigating uneven surfaces, with the ability to travel up to 25 percent of the time based on business needs. As an intern, you will receive hands-on immersion into the operational core of rail transportation, covering areas like logistics, scheduling, and safety management. Throughout the internship, you will gain practical experience and deepen your understanding of BNSF's dedication to efficient and sustainable transportation services. By working closely with experienced professionals on real-world projects, you will enhance your skills and knowledge, setting a solid foundation for a potential career in the transportation industry. Successful Interns may be hired as full-time management trainees upon graduation. This internship is offered in various locations during the summer.
