The NNSS Undergraduate Science Internship is available to undergraduate students who have completed their first year towards a degree in geology, geosciences, or data science at an accredited institution. To be eligible for this opportunity, you must be a U.S. citizen, have a minimum GPA of 3.0, and hold a valid driver's license. Additionally, you should possess strong computer, planning, organizational, and communication skills. As an intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a manager and mentor and will be provided with hands-on participation in ongoing projects at one of the most unique experimental sites in the United States, or at an outlying location site. You will assist with data management, historical archiving, investigative process, produce a catalog of data and record all metadata, archive physical records that need to be cataloged/digitized, and create and give presentations on both project and progress to teammates and management. This internship is offered at the Nevada National Security Site (65 miles northwest of Las Vegas, NV).
