Description

The Center for American Progress Video Research Summer Internship is available to undergraduate and graduate students who are passionate about accountability and research-based evidence. To be considered for this role, you should have a basic understanding of video files and formats, with the ability to quickly learn new technology-based databases. Additionally, you should be able to keep up with and analyze the 24-hour news cycle, be proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite, and possess strong writing and communication skills. As an intern, you will play a crucial role in the digital advocacy team’s media monitoring and rapid-response efforts, searching databases and media platforms to provide video clips and assets. You will contribute to the weekly production of video products across American Progress’ social media channels, ensuring messages are impactful and aligned with the organization’s goals. You will also stay updated on current events within Congress and the White House and be responsible for monitoring media coverage trends and flagging relevant information to keep staff informed. This internship is offered as a hybrid position in Washington, DC.
