The Wildcat Sanctuary Animal Care Internship is available to applicants interested in gaining experience in all aspects of captive wild animal care and husbandry. To be considered for this internship, you should have at least six months of previous animal care experience. This includes sanctuaries, zoos, rehabilitation, domestic animal shelters, animal hospitals/clinics, internships or college study in fields related to zoology, animal science, biology, animal psychology, and veterinary sciences. Additionally, you must be willing to work in all weather conditions. As an intern, you will gain valuable experience from exotic feline husbandry, habitat construction and modification, diet preparation, enrichment, grounds keeping, emergency response, helping with volunteer workdays, and more. This internship is offered in Sandstone, MN, and runs for six months, with four different start dates to choose from. Interns are provided with housing and a weekly stipend.
