The NREL Undergraduate Software Developer Internship is available to undergraduate students and recent graduates who are majoring in software development, computer science, or a related field. To be considered for this internship, you should have a minimum GPA of 3.0, have experience with SQL relational databases, be a self-motivated problem-solver, and possess strong technical writing, interpersonal, and communication skills. You should also have demonstrated skills in Python programming for scientific computing. As an intern, you will work the open-source Python software that the team has developed (RdTools, PVAnalytics), along with custom analysis and reporting software. You will also perform analysis functionality for cloud-based computing deployment, participate in code reviews, and apply scalable analyses to large data sets. This internship is based out of Golden, CO, and may be offered remotely.
