The Williamette Valley Vineyards Harvest Lab Internship is available to students majoring in viticulture, enology, or related science fields. To be considered for this internship, you should be computer literature and possess excellent reasoning, communication, and data management skills. You must also be able to lift at least 50 pounds and work long hours during the crush season in varying weather conditions. Preference will be given to applicants who are bilingual in English and Spanish and to those with previous winery or lab experience. As an intern, you will assist the winemaking team during the harvest season, with an emphasis on laboratory support and quality control. You will perform vineyard maturity sampling and processing, laboratory analysis on juice and wine, temperature measurements, cellar inoculations, lab records recording, set-up and calibration of equipment, and support the company's efforts to create a more sustainable, cross-cultural, and “green” environment. This internship is offered in Turner, OR, and runs from August - end of Harvest.
