The AMC Research Internship is available to undergraduate students who are pursuing a science-related degree. To be considered for an internship, you should be passionate about outdoor recreation, conservation, and environmental advocacy. Additionally, you should be proficient in Microsoft Office, be resourceful, and have experience with public speaking, educational trainings, outreach, writing, and data analysis. Preference will be given to students with botanical, laboratory, and R or Python experience. As an intern, you will work with the AMC Research Staff Scientist and team that conduct research in the White Mountains of NH on mountain air and water quality, tracking climate indicators, and plant phenology studies. You will be responsible for activities ranging from field site setup and take down, water quality sampling in remote wilderness, equipment maintenance and data collection, botanical field work, measuring pH and conductivity in water samples, and data entry and statistical analysis. This internship is offered in Gorham, NH, during the summer.
