Description

The City of Aurora Water Conservation Internship is available to students who are studying horticulture, conservation, environmental science, engineering, hydrology, GIS, or physical sciences. To be considered for an internship, you should have knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, posses excellent organizational and communication skills, be able to maintain accurate records. Additionally, you should hold a valid Colorado Driver's License with a good driving history. As an intern, you will perform irrigation assessments and inspections for residential and large property customers, compile data and create written reports based on assessment findings, educate customers about outdoor water conservation best management practices, perform general garden and landscape maintenance functions, and assist in general conservation projects. Two weeks of training will be provided to interns prior to starting field work. This internship is offered in Aurora, CO, during the summer.
