Description

The Nature Conservancy North America Policy and Government Relations Internship is available to students at Michigan State University, Mississippi State University, or the University of Montana who are working towards a degree in forestry, natural resources, biological sciences, policy, or a related field. To be considered for an internship, you should have experience writing for and presenting to a diverse audience, familiarity with researching information from diverse sources and compiling into a cohesive reporting structure, and possess the ability to organize time, set priorities, and work under pressure. Additionally, you should have experience in event planning/meeting preparation and be proficient in Microsoft Office and database management. As an intern, you will report to a designated senior policy associate on the lands and water team on issues relating to wildfire and forests lands and will support other department members and requests as needed. The tasks will be in effort to help The Nature Conservancy’s Lands and Water Team bring science, collaboration and policy together to enhance wildfire and forest management. This summer internship is offered in Washington, DC, as a hybrid work schedule.
