Description

The Vaya Space Engineering Spring Internship is available to undergraduate and graduate students who are majoring in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, guidance navigation and control, and systems engineering as well as related engineering fields. To be considered for an internship, you should have knowledge of the rocket engine design cycle including trade studies, design and analysis, production, assembly, test support and data review. Additionally, you should be familiar with data analysis and processing, possess excellent communication skills, and be able to read and interpret engineering standards and technical requirements and apply configuration management procedures. Preference will be given to applicants who are familiar with SolidWorks/similar CAD software, MATLAB, LabView, and handling cryogenic liquids. As an intern, you will part of a team of driven and enthusiastic engineers working to prototype, design, develop, and test innovative new hybrid rocket engines and vehicle sub-systems for a small launch vehicle. This internship is located in Cocoa, FL, during the spring semester.
